This is me:

My name is Carey.  I’m 29 years old, married, and an active duty member of the U.S. Coast Guard.

The past couple of years have brought big changes into my life and I’m ready to make more! I’ve pretty much alway been a tom boy.  The only feminine thing about me was makeup and heels, and thats mostly to help me cover up insecurities.  Recently, however, I’ve discovered a sorority girl deep inside just itching to get out, a fitness nut pushing through barriers, and a future mom ready to nurture some little ones.  This blog is dedicated to going through the trials and tribulations that these new adventures will present in this s-carey, scary world.

You made me laugh with the “s-carey scary world”. My name is Keri as well, just spelled differently than yours. I will look forward to reading more of your posts.

It happens to the best of us. Sometimes life gets in the way and sweeps us along. The next thing we know we’ve lost track of time. haha! I understand!

Hi Carey! I first discovered you in the “It’s just 8 weeks” video series and loved your honesty throughout the process. You seemed very candid and I appreciated that! My hope is to eventually join the CG but I’m still working up to a point where I feel that I am ready physically.
After searching to see where you X-Ray 181 recruits had got to, I came across your blog. First I want to say congrats on getting married!! That must have been so exciting! I wish you both the absolute best in your marriage. And second, I hope you continue to write on your blog! It’s nice to read about people overcoming obstacles no matter how big or small they may be. If you could add more about your experiences in the CG I would definitely appreciate that. “It’s just 8 weeks” is really all the insight I have and that’s just about basic. Thanks for sharing your stories and I hope to hear more from you soon!
